Ignition Guide to Building a Data and Analytics Strategy

InfoTech Template

Hi Everyone, I mentioned this in the call today. Not sure how many of you are involved in helping with InfoTech competitive situations, but see the attached deck that a prospect provided us with an example of an InfoTech template for developing (their phase 1) of D&A strategy. The prospected wanted to know if we have similar templates in our research portal. I believe the Ignition Guides like these or decks from some of the Summits are closest: Ignition Guide to Building a Data and Analytics Governance Program, Ignition Guide to Strategic Planning for IT, but not nearly as clean or easy to follow. They sell these as templates as part of their Blueprints on their Research portal here: https://www.infotech.com/featured-research- you can filter to get here for this particular Blueprint: https://www.infotech.com/research/ss/build-a-reporting-and-analytics-strategy, Very nice clean approach. They sell these as standalone templates, but really seem to lead with these as part of purchasing workshops and analyst access/advisor packages. Clients do seem to love the clean look and feel of their research portal (see the Checkerboard at the bottom). They’ve displaced Gartner in a fair # of Accounts in CA SLG particularly. Our Gartner.com portal certainly needs a makeover to make more usable, but this further points out our gaps in providing the practical templates and toolkits customers are looking for. I don’t think InfoTech can provide the Exec Partners and analyst resources as Gartner and I’ve heard some clients are purchasing both InfoTech and Gartner services. Hope this helps and happy to also discuss my experiences in one of our calls.
