Problem solving

An issue tree, also known as a logic tree, is a visual tool used to break down complex problems into smaller, more manageable components. It helps structure thinking and analysis by hierarchically organizing issues into a tree-like diagram. This allows for a systematic approach to problem-solving by identifying root causes and potential solutions.

Subject: Re: Issue Trees

Due to popular demand I added a folder and put 40 or so issue tree’s into the I&O team drive here: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1rrqzuGbPRLxD4mmGrOiJvkkA8amykVpt (choose “Grid View” to see them.) They are all stages of evolution - hand drawn, to PPT, to artist renderings used in research notes and symposium.

Team, if any of you would like to see some examples of issue trees or talk

about creating, using or even understanding their use, I have quite a few

to share — all following MECE (aka McKinsey “Mutually Exclusive

Comprehensively Exhaustive”) principles. Just let me know.
