The Dirty Dozen
The Dirty Dozen was created in 1993 by Gordon Dupont to increase system and aircraft safety in the field of maintenance while he worked at Transport Canada.3 The list can be applied to any system that includes a “human in the loop,” such as software development and testing. Use Table 4 to assess how human factors may contribute to the origination of defects in your software, beyond the technical aspects of defects.
